Jonno Zilber is a blues singer/guitarist from Brisbane. With a solo style broadly influenced by classic and modern blues, he has built a reputation as one of Australia’s premier performers for swing dancing exchanges and blues/folk music festivals around the country.
Originally inspired by blues masters Muddy Waters and B.B.King and heavily influenced by modern blues artists including Tom Waits and Keb Mo, Zilber has become a well sought after act in the Australian swing and blues dancing scene. His latest album, “Winter Blues: Live”, was inspired by, and recorded for, the late-night blues after parties held at swing dancing events all over the world.
Joining Zilber on drums is the talented blues, jazz, folk and world music drummer, Nicola Ossher. Nicola has been gracing stages around Australia for over 15 years playing with the likes of Brian Campeau, Emma Deans, Joanna Weinberg, Keppie Coutts and Miriam Lieberman – and she is no stranger to Shir Madness!
