Artist Management - Artist Liaison

All artist management volunteers need to be friendly, personable, reliable, have a good work ethic, and must be able to work as part of a team. Overseer for all artist-related concerns. You are the first point of contact if anyone on the artist management team runs into any problems. Primarily looking after VIP artists and overseeing artist management volunteers. Needs to have a friendly and confident manner, able to solve problems and manage a team of volunteers. Previous experience with festival/event management work preferred. Required: 2 - This role is job shared with 2 other Artist Liaison and will run much of the day.

Artist Management - Green room carer

Ensure the wellbeing of all performers and monitor entry to ensure the space is restricted to artists only. Required: 6

Do you have a clear, strong speaking voice? Are you passionate about music? The role involves introducing each act with joy and enthusiasm, back-announcing it and then managing the transition to the next act. Preference will be given to those experienced at hosting public arts events and able to improvise if necessary to manage the smooth transition from one act to another. Public speaking experience is helpful, but not essential. Required: TBA

Money Reconciliation

This position reports to the ‘Money Reconciliation Manager’. You’ll be in a ‘safe room’ reconciling moneys that have been paid at the festival box office. You’ll need to add and account for all money that comes into the box office on the day. Required: 8

Site Management - Chair-mover-ologist

A great job - have fun and keep a little fit - we need you to set up, or move chairs around in various venues during the day. Suits folks who are a little fit, or who want to get a little fit. Required: 4

Site Management - Creative sign maker

Creative, artistic folk are required to make signs for around the festival grounds, such as: "No public access", names of stages, "toilets this way". Should be good with drawing/painting. Signage to be completed and hung prior to the start of the festival. Required: 2

Site Management - Crowd Control

Volunteers are required to control the crowds entering rooms featuring music. When the rooms fill up, the volunteer needs to ensure that no further people enter until there's sufficient space. You'll need to be firm, but friendly to control the enthusiastic audiences. There is also a security aspect to the job, as you may be required to prevent people from entering back doors of venues that are off limits to the public. Required: 12

Stall Setup and Packup - Sunday morning set up

We need 3 strong folks to be ready for a 7am start to help set up tables, chairs, drinks, tents and flooring at the Bondi Pavilion festival site. Because its and early rise, it’ll be a shorter shift than others in the festival. Need to be fit and strong. Required: 2

Stall Setup and Packup - Sunday night bump out

We need 3 strong folks to help pack down left over drinks, tables, chairs, tents and flooring. This will start roughly at 8.30pm, and go to conclusion of pack-down (around 11.30pm). Need to be fit and strong. Required: 3

Technical Team - Audio volunteers

All Technical Team volunteers need to be personable, reliable, have a good work ethic, and must be able to work as part of a team. Help the audio team to create the amazing sounds for our bands. Requirements: • Basic knowledge of audio systems • Ability to read and understand a stage mic list • Basic knowledge of band equipment (backline) • Able to assist in audio system set ups and strikes • Able to assist in setting up a band on stage • Able to move mics during a band changeover according to a stage plot and mic list • Willing to assist unloading and loading production/band equipment into trucks • An understanding of working safely with electricity - basic instruction to be given • An understanding of safe manual handling techniques - basic instruction to be given. A fun role, ensuring all acts start and finish on time. Assist artists getting on and off stage and ensure they have everything they need. This is a time management and artist management role so applicants need to be organised, have great people skills and preferably previous experience stage managing. No technical skills required. Help the staging team to create the amazing working space for our bands. Volunteer Desk - Greeter

All volunteer desk volunteers need to be friendly, personable, reliable, be able to work quickly and think on their feet, have a good work ethic, and must be able to work as part of a team. Be a friendly face to greet volunteers when they arrive. Sign volunteers onto their shifts, supply them with any materials they need, and direct them to the area they’ll be volunteering at. This role also includes looking after lost property and lost property enquiries. For those on the final shift of the day, the last hour will include helping to pack down the volunteer desk. Required: 6

Be ready for an 8.15am start to set up the volunteer desk, and then begin to greet volunteers as they arrive. You should be reasonably fit and strong to help move and set up a few boxes of t-shirts and other volunteer tools. And then be a friendly face to meet and greet incoming volunteers, sign them onto their shifts, and direct them to the area they’ll be volunteering at. . Required: 1
