The Sydney Jewish Choral Society celebrates its 30th anniversary at Shir Madness with a program of diverse Jewish music including jazz, musical theatre, klezmer , Yiddish and Israeli folk to name a few.
Variety is in fact the key word for the Society. Its members come from a wide range of professions, countries and musical backgrounds. Within the variety there is a common note: the love of the choir members for music and singing for the Jewish and wider communities.
Sydney’s premier Jewish mixed community choir is directed by Moscow-trained Musical Director Rose Grausman and is accompanied by Sydney musicians Paul Khodor (piano) Jared Mundell (clarinet) and Shirley Politzer OAM (flute).
