“A live-looping frenzy”, classically-trained singer-songwriter Sophia Exiner, also known as Phia, makes music that abounds with luscious layers of harmonies, vocal percussion and vivid pop sensibilities.
Phia has honed her remarkable live show over hundreds of performances across Europe and Australia, including Grampians Music Festival, St Kilda Fest, Berlin Festival and Fusion Festival Germany. She has also performed on national television in Australia (Spicks & Specks) and Germany (TV Noir).
Her newest release, ‘The Woman Who Counted the Stars’ EP (2017), which Rolling Stone Magazine (Australia) declared a top 5 pick is a rapid fire follow up to her debut album ‘The Ocean of Everything’, which was recorded in her then-home of Berlin and hailed by Double J as “bright, catchy as hell pop”.
